I started 2016 by seeing Losing the Compass in its final week at White Cube, Mason's Yard in London. Many, many thanks to the curators and staff at White Cube who kindly walked me through the exhibition. It was inspiring to see all the work in front of me and to have my quilts among them. It was an exhibition full of so many curatorial twists. The catalogue opens with a quotation, which I love for its nod toward comfort:
There is lambswool under my naked feet.
The wool is soft and warm, gives off some
kind of heat.
