Fourteen quilts from my collection and 240 copies of Unconvetional & Unexpected greeted me in my gallery at the Festival of Quilts. That in itself was already a logistical miracle, and the exhibition hadn’t even been installed.
My assistant Leah Thomason Bromberg traveled with me from London. After a long day of unpacking quilts, signing books, hanging quilts, clearing away empty boxes, and putting up signage, we managed to get the exhibition and found ourselves some dinner.
